Mohamed Al Mazrouei Selects Double3 Robot For His New Virtual Tours
Mohamed Al Mazrouei, the founder and director of the Smart Services Portal company that manages the Fambo project for tourism and travel reservations as well as the Virtual Tours project for distance tourism, education and remote work, has selected the Double3 robot to offer virtual tours around Dubai, with the option to expand the service further around the UAE.
Mazrouei explored options of several robotics and found the Double3 robot fitted his needs in more ways than one. In a recent interview with Fujairah TV (in Arabic), he discussed the role of technology and the importance of using technology to develop and facilitate life, especially in the tourism and travel sector, as well as the new developments in this sector, remote work and distance education.
According to Mazrouei, through these smart robots, the user can remotely control the Double3 robot, voice and visual communication, send and share data electronically, in addition to sharing video or websites. He added, “This allows for remote tourism and exploratory travel, and it can be deployed to provide virtual tours of exhibitions, markets and museums. The applications are endless.”
Customer service and guidance and with the development of technologies like these remotely managed robots will support more work functions that can be completed using smart robots in remote or dangerous places to complete work or exploration that could be important or crucial without endangering human life.
Mazrouei feels strongly that “we need to choose the appropriate technologies that can support this transformation, and we need to provide these at reasonable prices and offer the appropriate platforms so that a large number of services can be developed and remanufactured easily. He plans to test and apply these technologies at Expo 2020 Dubai to launch the tourism modules at the global level, especially with the current shift towards remote tourism, education and remote work.
